Almost everything is back to how it used to be: films, stars, filmmakers and events are back, almost like before. Admittedly, many events are a little smaller and fewer stars are in the spotlight. The market is also being experienced more soberly. Nevertheless, promising projects are being announced. This applies to films, but also to new studios and platforms. The major crises do not seem to scare anyone this year. ARD and ZDF have already brought forward decisions on program reform. Even the impending strike by American creatives is by no means seen as a given by the negotiators there. The production volume seems to be leveling off at the pre-Corona year of 2019, although the focus is more on the second half of the year. The forces of television, cinema and streamers are also increasingly balancing each other out.
The Austrian funding offer, at which the studio project presented itself in Vienna'sHQ7 Studios , was one of the highlights at this year's IFP Production Breakfast organized by International Film Partners . Current developments, solutions and opportunities were also presented. Jürgen Kling outlined the “digital employment contract” solution from adag payroll services , despite the complications caused by the new evidence of employment law. The Oscar nomination for “Nawalny,” filmed in the Black Forest Studios , provided a good opportunity for Nina and Sebastian Weiland to present their boutique studio in the Black Forest. The travel and production vehicle specialist medias was able to answer current questions about the availability of production vehicles and sustainability concepts for the participants. Optical Art, an outstanding post-production company from Hamburg, is also inviting participants to this networking event. The fantastic creatives are often rewarded with award-winning productions.
As a global distributor, OneGate Media is at home all over the world and opens the door to Germany. It is not only German productions that are always receiving funding in countries and regions - for service companies at the highest level, this is both a challenge and a requirement. Andrea Peters from Theaterkunst explained the current production opportunities in Hungary and Poland, two of the locations of the Berlin Theaterkunst. Ludwig Kameraverleih also relies on local structures, in many regions in Germany, but also in Poland. As a full-service producer, cattleya offers access to motifs, creatives and - of course - funding in Italy.
