Freelance Casting Director

Cassandra Han is an American casting director who has lived in Europe for nearly twenty years and specializes in bridging the European and American/UK markets. She just finished Oskar Roehler's upcoming feature film, 8¼, and is currently casting a German original six-parter for a major streamer.
Italian casting credits include: James Mangold's Oscar-nominated FORD VS FERRARI starring Christian Bale and Matt Damon, Terrence Malick's A HIDDEN LIFE (2019 Cannes), and two seasons of Gaumont's Netflix hit series BARBARIANS (Barbara Eder; Stefan Ruzowitzky). Recent German projects include HERZOGPARK for Letterbox (RTL+), SAM EINE SACHSE for Big Window (Disney+), and the limited series EIN HAUCH VON AMERIKA (ARD) directed by Dror Zahavi. Upcoming international releases include the Polish feature FILIP for Akson Studios, the Latvian-Italian feature SISTERS, the Indo-French animation SCHIRKOA, and Roberto Faenza's HILL OF VISION.
Cassandra was a founding member of Ethan Hawke's New York theater company Malaparte and holds an MFA in acting from Trinity Rep. New York productions include THE BASKETBALL DIARIES with Leonardo DiCaprio and several Broadway productions.
She is a founding member of WIFTM Italy and a member of the European Film Academy, CSA, ICDN and BVC. Cassandra was a jury member at the Berlinale Shooting Stars 2021.
